I don't know anything about the wolf creeks, but you sure don't need a $31 conibear to kill a beaver. A Duke does the same thing for a lot less money.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I assume $$$ is important for this to be asked. The three lowest I see online are the wolfcreek which look like the Chinese FPS trap that was around for a minute. It looks suspect to me and I'm a user of the wolf creek dogless traps. Next is the Rudy out of Canada. A known name if not common, looks good and sold by a reputable company. Edges out Dukes by just a few dollars. https://www.ebay.com/itm/403305580567Then the Dukes.

If the beaver is caught by the neck Yes. caught by the tail or leg No a duke does not do the same thing. Switch out the #330 Duke dog with a Belisle dog & you will have near complete jaw closure to get those accidental tail or leg captures. Add an Adirondax stainless circle trigger to the duke and they are even more deadly. w

It has little to do with killin' Rather feature(S that are valuable to a trapper 1. safety hooks that stay where you put them. even while setting underwater. Safe!!! 2. springs cannot twiste around corner. Speeds up set time. xtra time saved is valuable. 3. Holding power from dog design = complete closure of jaws. = more catchs = more to sell.

I have one of those belises. Hard to stabilize, trigger doesn't function correctly, safety hooks don't work any better than normal ones after some use. I quit using it.
