I need to stop telling folks I can cook..... Anyhow this is what the laid of today for the lunch main... what y'all reckon I should do with these as far as how to cook and with what. They havye been able to do grocery here so it's a little on the sparce side.... Thinking about just baking them , (idk never been much of a fan of baking stuff though, some people are magic when it comes stop baking meat...im semi ok..)and so some home made mashed taters gravy and some green beans.....but fried in some cast iron smothered with bell pepper onion with some rice would be good too. Especially in the cold .. Idk what y'all say ?

You don't want to overcook loin chops so I'd be hesitant to bake them. I usually just coat a cast iron skillet with enough oil (or cooking spray) so they don't stick and then cook them to just done and no more. They'd go good with either mashed taters or rice, whichever you feel like cooking.

If you bake them I’d recommend some type of breading so the outside doesn’t get to dry, but where you’re in warmer weather than here I’d grill them, I like my pork cooked to 140 to 145 then rest for about 15 minutes, the worst thing you can do is over cook it, the mashed potatoes sounds good, or some grits.

I agree with cast iron. Get it nice n hot, sear on both sides flipping every 1-2 minutes until cooked through. I really like turnips with pork for some reason. Peeled, cut into nice sized pieces and toss in olive oil and some herb like thyme or rosemary minced up. Roast in oven 375 for maybe 30 minutes. Test with a fork to see if tender. Nice starch but tastes a little like cabbage, I get tired of potatoes so this is a nice change up. Hope you enjoy whatever you decide to do. Food is a blessing

Wolfie, you need to change your handle to Bettycrocker91. A ships cook shouldn’t be reaching out for recipes on a trapping forum…

I would cook them in a pan. Oven cooking meats is dumb.

a little fat in a pan , sear them high and 4-5 minutes a side

I love pork chops for a crazy fast and easy meal

not sure why they got them pre seasoned , but take the easy out and just make something like baked beans and corn bread for the sides maybe some canned corn.

I'd either sear them in cast iron or shake n bake in the oven. Then smashed taters with a thick gravy.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I suppose you don't have a grill on the stove to bbq them-first choice? Baking is out unless you have a good coating they will get to dry. Searing in a cast iron pan and then turn it down to low heat to finish would be ok.Maybe make some gravy from the pan. If you had a deep fryer you could pound them down and then coat and cook them in the deep fryer .Gravy on top. You could also do this in a deep skillet like a chicken fryer. Second choice other than grilling.

Dipping in egg wash will keep the moisture in to bake

Since they're BBQ seasoned and appear to be thin, lightly flour, fry 2 mins on each side and serve with coleslaw or any vegs that you would normally serve with BBQ pork :-)

Bake them in Golden Mushroom soup. 3 cans. Low temp.
Not cream of mushroom.
sick

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Wolfdog91, I am disappointed in you, I know you are from Mississippi and you come on here talking about baking pork loin, shame on you. You well know that the only acceptable way to fix pork loin is on a grill, pan fried, or breaded and deep fried. Mashed potatoes and green beans sound good for sides though.

Ah my post gives basic instructions and I am not from Mississippi but I do know a little about cooking, well maybe more than a little.

Sorry guys been fighting the captain and the rest of these heathens grin ended up flouring and crying all but two, baked them in cases someone was feeling fried. Remember why I'm not a fan of thick cut pork chops, they take forever to fry and I really like making sure these are cooked, pork worms and all that.... Anyhow ended up slicing the other two then and frying them, worked better . Sauteed some onions and bell petter down and made a gravy with them . Messed the rice up a little and seared some canned green beans. Apparently most of them aren't fans of pork but now their checking to see if I can make these again laugh

Sear for 2 minutes per side on top of the stove ...then throw the pan into a 350 degree oven for 17 - 20 minutes depending on thickness

Perfecto! Sometimes I will cook them on a counter top grill, on a low heat, covered with foil. in order not to dry them out but cook through I flip them a ton.
