What is the best pair of chest waders. I have looked at some of the lacrosse ones, but i don't know what to look for in a wader.

dans froggers chest waders for me.

Your looking for durabillty or price on chest waders

Pure rubber ones are pretty darn indestructible but heavy and cant move around. Slightly more expensive than neoprene

Neoprene is cheap, basically consider these as disposables

My Dans are a bit different, they have they're standard briarproof, removable outer layer and then a thinner inner layer thats glued to a version of muck boots. Just retired my first pair after 6 seasons, more expensive, close to 400 dollars by the time you add shipping and taxes.

You can go even more expensive but I've no experience with those.

Trapping waders you do not need to be insulated as you generally burn up in them unless you're vacuum stuck in the middle of a beaver/muskrat marsh.

Some questions you might peruse,..are you running in and out of a truck ,..a light pair might be in order .
Easily repaired

Is warmth an issue? Never found that an issue,.. most times you baked in neoprene.

Don't punch T bars or any stakes with your boots, eventually you'll spring a leak

Can you buy two pair to every one (good pair ).?

I am not getting out of the truck a lot. Warmth is why i am getting a pair. I have hip boots right now and they are to short and they are REALLY cold. And yes, I could buy a good pair.

They all leak eventually. Just how much abuse does it take before they do is the question.

Walk faster :P

My warmth in wearing waders is in moving or if I do think I will be a bit chilled...where warmer clothes underneath. Im partial to fleece lined cargo pants or fleece lined jeans.

I think you need a pair of neoprene then.

Take a look at Cabela's,..again ask yourself , what do expect ? Got the money? , how does that resonate?
Chest waders are expensive,..it's too much of a niche market., those marketers are not stupid,..if one sells at 250,
one that sells at 200 may seem more palatable .

Value is comfort times durability divided by cost.
