Looking for a reputable place to buy silver bars for presents for the grandkids birthday presents. Not looking for coins as they could be mistaken as change.

I've used SD Bullion and JM Bullion. Both were excellent companies to deal with.

What an excellent idea for a present! I think gold and silver bars are so cool. Too much playing Luigi’s Mansion!
I was thinking of rolling my 401K into precious metals, or at least part of it.

My kids and grandkids get a newly minted silver dollar in their Christmas stocking every year. Time to get the 2024 release while silver is at $23.

We've bought from Ayden coins, right now price of silver sis down a bit, good time to buy. Have a couple pounds or so, figure gold and silver have always had value whereas the commies in charge of this country are sinking the the dollar

X2. There are some really obtuse tax ramifications when holding 'collectibles' in a tax deferred account. Personally I would avoid it

Having a relatively small portion of your portfolio in Gold and Silver is probably a wise idea, but no more than 10% or there about. For me it's not really as much about an investment, as insuring against some form of catastrophe. I sure would not rely on something like bitcoin when you need an internet connection to utilize your wealth for the emergency. But that's just me.
