Few year ago had some twerps doing some work for me and they accidentally burned a bucket of Montana 3s.. Welp I flung them to the side and haven't hardly looked at them. Springs all lost temper.

My question is should the rest of the trap be fine when I replace the springs? Or should I just scrap them?

Yep the best you can do is to maybe sell them as wall hangers.

You could make something out of them if you have time, like those receiver covers, or the cooky cabin signs that say press here on the pan for a doorbell, or other type things, maybe recoup a little of the value of them to finance replacements.

You can try this , and just replace the springs.
Look up tempering and hardening steel.

The boiling of traps in water and dye , won't hurt them , but watch how hot you get your wax.
Too hot and it will weaken the springs.

Went through these traps... They burned hot enough to ruin the springs but not hot enough to melt the aluminum ferrules on the cable stakes..
And the bucket they were in I'm not sure what or how but the plastic was more just melted into a clump as if it didn't burn cause I'd think it been completely gone..

Sell them as a novelty your good sell them as working traps it might come back to bite you then. You can probably get the same price either way just less hassle for craft use.

I traded for some one time that had been in the Ed Bauer fire, unbeknownst to me. They were worthless for using. Jaws kept breaking.

Junk. I have a few hundred traps that went through a barn fire. You will deal with weak jaws that pop out of the frame, bent frames, uneven pan tension due to warpage and a whole bunch of other issues.

Yea its a shame but they are likely all wall pieces. I got a 55 gallon barrel of traps given to me that had been through a house/garage fire. None of them were usable. Kept some for wall hangers and passed along the rest for others wanting the same.
