I've got one I haven't used in a few years and even though I oiled the blade when I got done using it I noticed it is getting rusty anything I can use to clean it up.

When finished, and all cleaned up and dry, stick a chunk of wax against the blade while it's running, this will keep it from rusting. Blood is very acidic and will rust up steel very fast.

Hmmm, just looked at my band saw blade. If it's really rusty, I'd get another one.

As far as cleaning, after the blade is washed and hung to dry, you could oil it with mineral oil. Keep it in a dry place. A saw blade is just like a chainsaw chain, it'll rust in a day or 2.

They are too expensive to let set with meat and junk on them. Tell you something else if you don't already know. Before you saw meat, rub the saw, top and everything down with mineral oil. It'll cut your cleaning time in half.
