Cold separates the men from the boys. You southerners should embrace the cold and snow.
But seriously it must be tough when it hits all of a sudden like that and you dont have a couple weeks to get acclimatized to it.
I know how much I hate when it gets real hot and humid here in the summer, and that would be just a nice day for you guys.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

The opposite is also true down here Boco. For instance, next week we have 4 or 5 days forecast where the high is gonna be in upper 70s..nearly 80. I despise that this time of year....after a week of lows in 20s and 30s...and highs in 50s.
I should've moved north when I was younger.

24°F here in Ga, near the Florida line, this morning.
I LOVE IT! I can act like a northern beaver trapper and wade around and reach into the brush without a cottonmouth helping me out.
You Yanks have it too good! Until you have to walk in 3 feet of snow and chop through 2 feet of ice for just one trap at a time lol !!!

It's not so much the cold but it's a wet cold. You northerners have a dry cold. The old bones can tolerate dry cold but wet cold, not so much. I used to trap in Mississippi in January, February. I'd leave WY 15° and sunny wearing a flannel and light jacket. Then I'd be In Mississippi 45° humid and cloudy and I'd be freezing. Humidity makes a huge difference. The cold In north central IA was much worse than the dry Wyoming cold also.

ON the plus side, cold weather kills your musquitos.

I should've moved north when I was younger. That's sickness weather. Also the kind of weather that spins up trouble.

Seriously how much snow equipment do they have where they seldom get snow?

In our 15 years here LawDog I don't recall seeing a snow plow. They do try to put down a liquid on the over passes when freezing rain or snow is forecast.
