So Hobbie- what deciding factor made you pick that set location? Was wind the key factor? Looks like an alder stand running into a woodland and I would've set the inside corner but you're the Boss on Reds. The corner would be an excellent spot, for everything. I’m not looking to plug sets with everything. Don’t have to move far but moving sets a few feet away from those “corners” will reduce the number of grinners and coons that will find them. Yesterday I saw where the runner went into the woods and hung a snare there. Disappointed by a chew out just as we rolled up.

Another nugget of info just in case a newbie is lurking. After several catches at the location at the top of the page I started getting backside and side digging. I put down two fresh traps two feet up wind from the original locations. That was Monday, a catch yesterday and again today at the new location.

You got a place for them? We can ship you a truck load and not miss them. We’ll trade coyotes then the red problem will end for you

Hobbies that dark fox is really cool looking. Is that color common in your area?

I love red fox trapping. Great except for the fleas. I put them in a garbage bag with raid for an hour or 2 before skinning. I don't like the smell of raid but hate fleas.

That is interesting for that color to pop up like that. I would tan that one and put it on the wall.
