Yukon, I've found that the liquid inside the castor pods just eventually dribbles out when you're shipping and causes problems so I just hold them upside down while fresh and gently squeeze out the liquid so I don't have to deal with it. (I catch the liquid and use it).

Thanks bp I have always tried to keep it all together, may have to experiment.

Wow mad! 91.5 pounds is tremendous. Can't wait to see what it stretches to. Hope you post some pics. I'd have to make a new board out of a half sheet of plywood to accommodate that one. Way to go

FHA pick up was last night.

Getting the piles sorted out

The final stack

Not a lot of Trappers there dropping off fur and the ones that where had lower amounts. There is 4-5 different spots they stop in the area so always hard to tell how much fur is going out but expected a little more fur to be in the truck.

58 Lb beaver hit the Belisle 220 set for otter. Good thing it was anchored for an elephant, not recommended for a beaver trap in my opinion.

Mad, not sure what i would do with a 91.5 Lb beaver, that's crazy,

Sask, that's a nice looking pile of beaver. I predict you're going to real happy with what they bring.

Mad, whatcha gonna do with that behemoth? If I recall correctly, last year somebody had stretched a huge beaver and Moscow Hide and Fur bought it on the FHA auction for nearly $200

Thanks Newfox. I mainly clean skin so I'm going to try the trough.

I’m taking offers but you need to pay shipping. The green hide weighs 21 1/2 pounds but should be lighter when the fur dries.

Gerry couldn’t make it tonight, he’s not feeling well, I missed his company. Had a good evening, six off, fleshed two, boarded two. Two more in fridge to stretch. Take four more out for this weekend.

Sask, nice pile .

Nice pile of beaver keystone!

Challenging weather across the country right now to try to add to our piles. I would like to do like NF and stay in to put up fur; but dang it, all my fur is put up. Had to go out and lay out a line. We're expecting an ice storm followed by 2" of rain tomorrow. Not looking forward to tomorrow's check.
