I've bought a pair of the Rogers Elite 2N1 Insulated Breathable Wader but I'm not super happy with the new style that has the second outer layer that goes all the way down to the ankles of the boot for protection. The problem with them is that if your trapping out of a canoe, is that the cuffs hold a awful lot of water that is supposed to drain out the back of the mesh on the back of the cuff. But if you're walking in & out of the water on the land it does drain out pretty nice. la-cross I've had this pair for 4 years trapping, and still going good!!! I have had 2 pairs of lacrosse waders. Both pairs didn't last one season of beaver trapping. Both pairs came part in the same place. This year I bought a pair of Dans and am very happy with them.

That might work but I think that it might void the 1 year warranty by modifying the waders. I might try and call them to see if it void's the warranty before I try it. That's a great idea thank you.

I'm on year two of the same Rogers waders you have and they're going strong. I have not had your issue with them. Of course I don't use them like I used to. I really take care of them and hang them after every use.
My SIL had the high end Sitka and they leaked after two years. Of course they are often balled up in the corner of his garage or back of his truck. If you get thru that I think you'll really like the Rogers.

Most comfortable and best fitting., in the most expensive models. I wear LS. Hold up equal to cheaper cabeia versions. Won’t last me a season without delaminating. Fancy fisherman boots. With cheap fur I chose 4 pairs of the alternative and don’t get my feelings hurt so bad, when they fall apart. Oh yea not guaranteed for trapping activities. I sent back a couple pair and they did replace them tho.

I have the basic, cheapest simms, was about $200 when I bought them. I figure $20 a year and still kicking. Use them year round if I need waders fishing or trapping.

Probably built better then. If I recall I was impressed with my first couple pair.
The cheaper ones don’t come in LS and comfort is the main reason for me. I do a lot of walking. I will admit I’m hard on equipment and live in waders all winter. I stil trap like fur is worth money LOL. JMO
I guess my point being don’t expect miracles just cuz you’re paying a premium

I believe kneeling on the ice is Simms Achilles heel. If your not using them in that capacity they’re ok at best. Value wise
Back in the day they stood out, now the copycats are catching up on a 3 to one ratio. Pairs that is
