I will say I didn't see anyone when I was taking my mom to radiation and chemo treatments wearing mask before covid. That was once or twice a week depending on the round and type she was geting at the time.

I know her immune system was and still is shot 4 years later and she still catches everything. She got covid early on and had a rought time with it. It was when it all first came out and according the the mnesw it should have been a death sentence for her. She was still taking treatments and picked covid up at the Dr offices becust that was the only places she would go do to being nearly walking dead at the time.

She survived and was fine in two weeks. She had a 22% chance to make it 5 years in her stage of cancer and is 4 years out now doing anything she wants. Only thing is she still tires faster than normal. 3 or 4 hrs and she is done.

When here hair grew back that was a good boost for her. Having Her breast removed effected her identity more than she thought and would ever admit.

It gets better there are good days and bad. She finally quit taking her meds the Dr says she needs. Guess what she feels better, thinks more clearly and has more energy. Said she is done feeling like crap and would rather die living life that feeling like crap on their drugs. She wouldn't take the covid shots either.

Don't take things personally. Got to admit when I see people in mask I automatically assume they buy into the big covid lie and ARe quad vaxed and happy to try and require everyone else to do the same by government mandate. Though that today at work whan I saw two company people with them on in the office. I just shake my head.

Do what you think Is right for you why care what anyone else thinks? Especially people on the internet!! I guess it's the age of getting offended. Personally I don't care what anyone thinks about me and my opinion. Darn sure not going to get worked up over someone else's.. probably why I stay so charming and happy all the time. Or could be that prized opossum my boy caught this morning. Nothing any better than catching a grinner

Think the entire point is masks have been proven to prevent absolutely nothing in the way of protection yet everyone still wears them. No one is making fun of anyone. Everyone seems to research everything but the actual use of the masks. Not only does research show it, but even talking to actual Docs that tell me the “average” mask does absolutely nothing to prevent exposure to any illness. So the question remains…why still wear them.

I am very sorry about your wife and I hope she recovers soon.

I heard an interesting perspective on mask wearing and I believe their point may be accurate. They said they discovered during the bleak pandemic years when everyone was wearing masks in public people did not interact nearly as much with each other. As the masks came off, if they weren’t wearing a mask in public people spoke to them, smiled at them, and were generally more friendly towards them. So they discovered if they were a mask now in public they feel much less obligated to interact with people because people don’t interact with them. Personally I think casual interactions with strangers is healthy for society but I know there are a lot of people out there who just want to be left alone and not interact with others. So that could be an explanation for some of the mask wearing.

Masks can prevent the spread of germs. Doesn’t mean they will for sure. Why care if someone else chooses to wear one, does it hurt you, or just trigger you?
