Just received an email from Pirate Shipping they announced shipping rate changes shocked to see several reductions in rates and less fees tacked on now. Some reductions sounded significant.

Okay, what's the catch? Gotta be one!

I've noticed things have been cheaper shipping on ebay using usps ground advantage. I've even gotten some refunds.

When was this? Have watched Pirateship slowly drop rates over the past year.

Here's a summary of what's changing on January 21st:
Priority Mail Flat Rate discounts are back, with USPS adding this service back to the Connect eCommerce program. Rates will now be up to $2.34 cheaper than Commercial Pricing.

Priority Mail continues to be the best service, getting up to $16.01 cheaper or staying the same price for packages that weigh less than 20 lb, depending on the size of your package and distance it's traveling.

Ground Advantage is getting up to 29 cents more expensive for packages that weigh less than 1 lb. For packages that weigh 1-20 lb it's mostly staying the same rate, though it's getting cheaper for shipments to zones 6-8.

Media Mail rates are increasing by up to 21 cents.

Signature Confirmation is increasing to $3.50.

International shipping rates are increasing around 5 to 7% on average. Simple Export Rate continues to be the cheapest way to ship internationally!

These rate changes are happening everywhere you can buy postage online, so there's no way to avoid them.
