Coyotes where on the move last night as a neighbor had some on his camera and forwarded pics to me. Guess I'll be checking that out sometime today. We have about 2" of snow in as many days, should make for some good tracking. Hope to catch my problem otter soon. Still a bit early to check and the past few checks have been seeing critters on the move so decided today to head out a little later in hopes of making a few more catches. Have a good day everyone!

You should just take it from the kid. He doesn't trap anyway. He just watches Oprah.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Here you go 330. The Silver one is the original that I have had for probably 35 years. The guy I got it from claimed to have had it forever. The bevel is just on ONE side. I bought one that was beveled on both sides and you can't bevel a hole out with it. The square handle isn't as slick as round and is strong enough to pry with. That chisel has gotten the Tundra out of the slush more times than I care to remember. The spud itself is the end of a leaf spring out of a semi. The guy that I had make a batch for me had a plasma cutter and said it wouldn't be a problem at all. I think he made me 10 of them and said never, ever again and don't even ask! I guess the double bevel at the top of the "teeth" was a real pain in the butt.

Got the fur all put up. Went out and started hanging snares for coyote today. Was nice getting back in the woods again.

Rob, it closes on the 14th where I live.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

The one on the Legal Defense Banquet went for $220. I heard of people paying much more when alcohol was involved! Time consuming to build, but the finished product is well worth it!

A few more wolf tracks today when I was out checking the few weasel boxes I have out,no weasels today, one or two more checks on them. Then my trapping will be done for the season, until I might snare a few beavers when I get back home.Fire up the RMK 600 and do a little late winter scouting and riding.

Weather guessers are saying 1"-3" of snow this evening with possibly more on the way. Pulled all my cat sets today as there's been no fresh sign and it'll be very difficult for me to check them if we get any significant amount of snow. Did check out some fresh coyote sign and set out some footholds and snares at request of a neighbor. No sign of my problem otter but the ice is getting thinker by the day now that the temps are back to normal.

I don't have an extra. The guy charged me $90something to build them several years ago. I sure love mine and it isn't for sale at any price. If you have someone that will make you one, I can LOAN you my old one as a copy for them to duplicate.

The DNR site shows the 14th. The first thing that Google popped up was this stating 1/ 21. I hope it doesn't jam anyone up.

https://thepredatorhunter.com/laws-for-hunting-bobcats-in-minnesota/#:~:text=In%20Minnesota%2C%20the%20bobcat%20season%20for%20the%20next,01%2F22%2F23%2C%2012%2F16%2F23%20%E2%80%93%2001%2F21%2F24%2C%20and%2012%2F14%2F24%20%E2%80%93%2001%2F19%2F25.

In Minnesota, the bobcat season for the next 3 years runs from 12/17/22 – 01/22/23, 12/16/23 – 01/21/24, and 12/14/24 – 01/19/25. Bobcats may only be hunted North of I-94 and U.S. Highway 10. Hunting hours are 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 after sunset (except 9 a.m. on opening day)—5 bag limit.
