I admit to the same guilt that infects everyone on this board: I post for my own enjoyment or enlightenment. I suppose you post for the enjoyment of others?

As a lawyer, I was trained to test factual claims and hypotheses by asking questions. Sorry if that offends people, but that's how I test claims and positions--including my own. Now and then someone raises a point I haven't considered, and I'm usually willing to change my mind if called for.

I HATE to be involved in a discussion that leads to someone getting a vacation or permanent ban. But I'm not willing to assume responsibility for adults who can't control themselves.
