This way they can see my ideas and points of view to ignore, without having to try and find a way to kick me out of their circle. laugh

I've contributed a considerable amount of my time and money to the betterment of trapping though donations, my website, demos, membership dues, raffles, etc..., and will continue to do so. Thus, I think I've earned the right to complain and make suggestions (even though I know they will fall on deaf ears, lol). wink

Sioux Falls, SD is only about a 6 hour drive for me. Lusk Wy is about 12 with fuel stops. Think I may attend coyote days instead for trapper comradery fix.

OR...drum roll....FTA and NTA combine their efforts and host a national together? Split the monies, time and effort as much as possible and allow trappers and leadership to reduce their travel and meeting times drastically. What say you?

SD is perfect for us. Never been to the black hills, taking a week off and making it the vacation. Convention will be at the end this time. Don’t wanna drive around with a $1400 carload of gear like last year
If it’s out east next year, I probably ain’t going…..but never know.

I won't be able to make it, nor the NTASE, where ever it is going to be.

Looking forward to both Nationals. Virginia FTA was very nice location and very well attended. I hope it is bigger and better this year.

Sioux Falls is a very nice city with lots to offer. And maybe their Governor attends ! It will be just as hot in Iowa, or hotter , than Eastern S.D. during the same time period Jayme .

And I prefer both Nationals work together to defend trapping. But I personally prefer the FTA retains its own identity with a separate Convention myself.

I attended my first NTA in 2013 and that is the closest location it has been to me. This year in Sioux Falls, will be the longest trip but 2025 in Harrisonburg will be the shortest trip by far. The miles and travel time are from my home in NC using the shortest route (one way) in Google Maps for reference.

The highest attendance NTAs that I have been to were in Escanaba. The lowest attendance was a tossup between Hamburg and Pecatonica.

I have only been to a couple FTA Nationals and Harrisonburg was by far, the best attended I have been to.

There is not a location that is in everyones back yard. I am looking forward to the FTA being back in Harrisonburg this year and the NTA being there in 2025.

Think I'll aim the Tacoma toward Harrisonburg, VA this June, then wherever the FTA national convention is in 2025.

I'm sure you're right that's why we become nocturnal that time of year. Stay inside in the AC during the day and go fishing after dark. smile

Doesn't matter anyway. I won't be able to attend.

The current thinking is we'll make Sioux Falls for the NTA this year, followed by 2 weeks in the Badlands on vacation and then on to Lusk for Coyote Days.

Already know we won't be going to Virginia in 2025.

Paul, are you planning to be in Michigan or Wisconsin this year?

For all those thinking it might not be worth the drive I can promise you it will be a great show. Just like the FTA was in 2019 I have a great team here in Virginia and the location is one of the most beautiful and historically filled spots in the east. For those that are not attending for other reasons I understand completely myself I will always stand with all the association's not the leadership. At least that's the way I've always looked at it but then I'm just a dumb hillbilly I would invite everyone that has a mind to come on down, up or across to the FTA Rendezvous in Harrisonburg this June.

No matter where you go there you are.
