it would be an interesting experiment with that short barrel to run a cylinder of 38spl , 38spl+p short barrel and some 357mag over the chronograph and see if there really is much gain/loss

I still tote a Air weight 38 SPL hamerless Smith full of Wad cutters . I see no reason to change .

I used to shoot a 357 when I was young. A colt Trooper. It was very hard on the ears. Got rid of it, gave to my boy. You best wear ear protection Scott and hold on tight, it is going to jump a bit. Yep, going to have a big flash. Good small carry gun, better have a close target..

I gave my wife one of those Charter Arms bulldog in .44 Special, nice little guns with plenty of punch, very manageable to shoot too and I really like the bigger bore

I have a King Cobra 3" barrel in 357. You definitely need ear muffs to shoot it.

My carry piece is a S&W Mod 69, 5 shot SS, very nice. Also will carry my 1911 for those "special Occasions"! The ,38 with HOT +P factory loads,. and some Super Vel HP in the .45. Anybody remember that name? LOL
