this morning after a night of ringing in the new year.

We call it Amateur night....

I was in bed by 9:00 pm. That's about an hour later than normal.

Little bit of Fog

Good morning, Dave. Other than forgetting my headphones in firing off my Howitzer last night , it is a normal, clear-headed morning.

Watched the Packer game. No alcohol and went to bed shortly after. Shopped at fleet farm this morning right when it opened with only 1 other person in the store. Was nice.

A little rough, been worse.

Got home from 9 16 hour days at work at 230am. Had one sick kid sleeping on the couch. Got up to wife making breakfast. Plum wore out and tired not moving to well today. But in those 9 days I switched from days to nights and from in early 4 to out late 4hr twice. You can say my system is shot.

No drinking or no since here. I. Hard enough on Myself making a living. Trying to get motivated to get moving. Got to get full at the airport and more 2 cycle mix. Them set some k9 sets and cut wood with the boys.

Went to bed at 9, I've found over the years that the new year comes in without my help...

No booze here

In bed and nodding off by 10:00. Had one beer during supper. Woke up to what sounded like gunshots. In my bleary state I was figuring which of my guns was closest. Then I actually woke up all the way and realized it was the New Years Eve fireworks.

A hangover is inevitable after a night's consumption of alcohol. It happens a couple hours after you quit drinking, and your blood-alcohol drops, approaching zero. The only way to avoid this is not to stop drinking.

Was up at 5 and went to the mountain before daylight with the muzzleloader for a couple hours.

Then back home to finish up with the butchering we did over the weekend. Life is good!

gcs, i am with you on your reply. worked too many of them corralling drunks and dodging idiots shooting into the air.

clear as a bell....sobriety is good.

I can’t stomach a hangover anymore. SO much harder to recover now than ten years ago. I hate feeling clumsy and confused , that comes with dehydration. I had a few beers last night and that was it. Was in bed before 10. It’s nice to feel good!

The only downside to sobriety is that when you wake up in the morning, that is as good as you're going to feel all day.

Had a great time... had a few beers, danced a bunch, met new people that we really liked. Couldn't have been better. Got to bed around 2:30 and slept in for once. Feeling great!

Didn't drink at all last night.
Didn't go out or have people over.
