I bought a 16 oz bottle of Federales bait solution in anticipation of mixing it with deer scraps. I killed a buck the other day and made up the bait with dice-sized chunks in some old pint bait jars that I had.
I put 2 oz per pint of meat and made 2 pints. I don't trap much. I put the jars in my refrigerator and just set the lids on top.
Any input, tips, suggestions?

Next time. Save deer blood. Use deer liver. Add some cheese. Squirt cheddar and deer liver add SB. Just follow directions on how much to a lbs. It will work fine on coyotes. Caught 100s of deer liver

I did similar with the Federales solution but I used deer trimmings, heart, liver and lungs. I let taint for a week and then added SB to stop the taint. I then added the solution. This was back in November and I haven’t tried any yet.

Curious if anyone has used the lungs before and how long will the concoction last.
