I started using them last season. Haven’t had an issue. I found I like the 8’ better than the 10’. Shorter was stiffer and generally plenty long.

I use fiberglass drowning rods and stakes. They are lighter to carry than metal rods and stakes. I like the 8 foot rods best too.

I dont like them, although I can see where they could have their place. At least where I mostly set, they are too flimsy to get into the hard bottoms a lot of the time. Also, you cant drag them or they splinter on the end. Never had one chewed on by a beaver

Personally , to me a waste of money. A pain to haul around , and not a necessity . For long hauls into the brush , ready made cable downers and an old feed sack worked wonders. I do know never handle fiberglass rods a few years old with bare hands. Neen there done that!
