We cannot use a cubby set on dry land I don’t think and not sure I would use them Anyway in lower 48 states. But I am been thinking about milk crate sets , cubby sets , etc. I think the cubby set or milk crate would work better with the the cubby or milk crate not being to deep ? Correct ? Shallower the bait set in the set the more likely the animal Will Comment? Only needs 1 big step right ? MD

5 gallon pails are almost to shallow for some species fine for coons and skunks but not so great for bobcats from my experience I’ve caught a lot of coons but never a bobcat in that set. Now before the high and mighty crowd gets going here in cattle country we don’t have stray dog problems like other places. Second not many houses for miles in the river breaks and a lot of distance between houses in farm country so your issues are not my issues.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

IMO the milk crates are way too shallow. I much prefer a bucket in that type of set up. But overall, where wolverines are concerned, I prefer a foothold trap under a suspended bait. But whatever works where you are located is the way to go. I still want to catch a wolverine in a White17 set.
