I read that Anchorage has already exceeded 70" of snow! Is this correct?

I will take the warner Temps this year. Keeps us from using so much wood heating this big old farm house in the beast of wood burner. Can't remember how many truck loads we have used but I brought up 5 more in the last few days and they won't last long. But I have mostly only burnt green pines that have blown down this year cleaning up the mess. So far 4 have been or will be reduces to ash.

Here on the Tug Hill Plateau, normally highest snowfall east of the Rockies. We have only a dusting of snow, and hoping for a green Christmas.
If this is the because of climate change/global warming, it is a good thing for many people, plants and animals in the north.

I live in a old farm house too> I heat with propane and wood. I have used just as much propane as normal. when it get 10 to 15 below the house frosts up and seals. It heats easier then. The wind is still blowing through the house with the warm weather. But that could all change pretty fast.

I just picked up a couple of buckets of dropped apples.
Little waterhole down by the driveway culvert.
3 different leopard frogs setting along the edges and jumped in ?
Actually stopped and checked to make sure it was frogs .
Was amazed at this time of the year.
I'm sure it will freeze solid later this winter.

Y'all gonna have armadillos soon...iffin' ya don't already.

Also, some species that normally migrate from further north....won't...until later...

I'm curious what the duck migration/hunting has been like so far...on the Central & Mississippi flyways.

Russia will soon be able to grow corn and soy where it was just barley and wheat before.
