I dont have access to beaver meat but deer liver yes. Do you need to let age or freeze fresh? I chunk it up and use it and let it age in a bucket in my truck while on the line. It's usually cool or cold enough for it get lightly tainted.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I gave up on everything years ago and just stick to deer liver because it works. I often put deer hair in the hole with liver, Sometimes deer tarsal glands. I tried beaver years ago. Zip, nothing. Beavers carcass often never get touched unless the snow gets very deep and coyotes will eat anything then.

I am trying this again this year. I have 2 bait piles out 1 with all beaver and the other is deer carcasses and deer scraps from butchering. In the past I cannot get coyote to work the beaver piles. Deer scraps are a hit every year. I don't know why but all the other predators will work the beaver pile. Maybe its just this area. Tried the same thing several times with the same results. As much as my dog loves beaver vs deer, one would think the same with coyotes but apparently not. The only exception as I stated before was the use of deer liver but liver in general works great. Lot's of good bait and lures out there but found that what works good for me may not for you and visa versa. And what works great this year may not the next. Sometimes you just have to take a chance.

I've had some reluctance (by coyotes) down here on fresh and tainted beaver meat bait.
But, I've never had reluctance using ground bever tails (that were aged and making black oil) as bait. Also add a little skunk essence to the ground beaver tail for cold nights.
