Just a darn shame there aren’t any actual areas like Idaho, Yellowstone, Minnesota where uncontrolled wolf populations have decimated certain other animal populations so evidence of wolf abuse on nature could be seen.
And now that I’m dreaming gosh what if there was say a Canada or Yukon, or maybe even Alaska sort of places where the institution of wolf control makes a well balanced environment for all!

Decisions being based solely on science the way they say is being done now I guess are far more credible than my fantasy’s.
Silly me.

But, with all the Hollywooders and Kalifornians that moved out there, nothing is surprising for that state. Another state that's gone down without a shot being fired.

Just another step in the push to end hunting. When the wolves and bears kill the rest of the elk, they'll close elk season. Followed by moose and deer. And so on. No more hunting.

Now if there were only 20 million Buffalo/bison on the Great Plains to feed them.

I've heard that wolves love sugar free gum.

What are you a trapper or a farmer.
What kind of trapper wouldnt want to have wolves on his grounds?
They benefit a lot of other furbearers when kept in balance.
This is a trapping forum.go whine on the Farmers forum.
This reminds me of the scraps trapping organizations had with dog hunters who worked against trappers intrests while pretending to be trappers..

Boco you make the argument. You’re absolutely right when you put in the words “ kept in balance” you have that. It’s not on the table here.
As far as farmers versus trappers, many are the same. Unlike your wilderness many farmers and ranchers are trappers. More than that is the relationship of trappers with the farmers and ranchers who own the lands. We are all in this together down here.

Merry Christmas Osky.
Hunters who trap are not the same as trappers who hunt.
When you have people with other intrests lobbying for you in Govt it is not in your intrests.
We fought that fight here (and won)

Wildlife management decisions should not be made by a general ballot vote.

And fingers crossed Colorado actually allows the harvest of the wolves one day as their populations increase…

Why is it that you have to voice your opinion on EVERY SINGLE US topic? You don't see all of us telling you Canadian's what to do. Take a break. Go milk the reindeer and talk trapping on the Wilderness forums. I appreciate an occasional comment but you are really pushing it.

I have nothing clever to put here.

The only good thing I can see about this is that there are 5 less wolves in Oregon.

Cause this is a US trapping forum. What has race got to do with it.Did Paul ban the Canadian race from commenting on his forum. If he did I wasnt aware of it.
If you dont want to comment on Canadian topics on the Canadian forum, who cares.
And since you read all my posts-thanks for following.

You obviously aren't understanding what you're talking about. They move wolves to these states and then the federal government prohibits them from trapping or hunting them. They are left unmolested to breed and increase in number and decimate game populations because there is no legal way for them to be kept in check. To make matters even worse in this case, trapping with anything other than cages is illegal in CO.

It is not a dream Osky. It happens here. When stuff needs to be killed, kill it. Don't make it a trophy animal for hunters and trappers.

All they had to do was look at what happened to the north of them to see what a terrible idea that is. But in the long run if there’s nothing to hunt there’s no reason to own guns. Can’t have all those rural people being able to feed themselves now can they? Agenda 21 is not a conspiracy theory.

Obviusly you dont understand,it is not about the wolves at all, some wolves on the land is beneficial.
Your problem is not being able to manage them. Why you have lost the opportunity to trap is a whole nother ballgame that has nothing to do with wolves on the land.
Too many of keystone species is just as harmful as too few or none.

Look at the bright side. Maybe the wolves will eat some Californians in Colorado.

The nice thing about all these self created problems in the west and the other ones in the Midwest is the wolf lovers can now make all their money screwing with you guys and pretty much leave us alone. Thanks!
