Curious is any deer for in there? Guessing they can jump out if needed?

Lots a deer in the area so far I've never seen them pay any attention to the trap

I know folks who have caught deer in one of the 5’ by 8’ cage traps

I caught deer in the 5x8's twice.

Deer go in hog traps here all the time. Last summer a guy sent me a pic of a large velvet 10 pt inside the trap. He didn't trip the door, but he could've just jumped out if he did.

Back in my GW days I put some hours into trying to catch an outlaw that was catching bears in hog traps made from livestock panels (with tops). Never got him....but he didn't catch another bear at that location.

One of our old traps had hog panel for the fencing with a drop down gate. A spike got his head caught in a hole in the panels. Tried for 45 minutes to get his head out but ended up having to put him down and remove the head to get it out. It wasn’t our trap or I would’ve cut the fencing. Found someone that wanted a deer and gave them the body and head and my number if LEO’s needed an explanation.
