Mistletoe is a very strange plant! It has a weird lifecycle, has been thought of as symbol of fertility through the ages, used as a medicinal herb (even though it is quite toxic), and even got its unusual name in a weird way. Learn all about it in this video, and be sure to watch for the dry humor!

Let me know how you liked it!
Thanks, Anthony

When the admiral and I came down the ICW in 2013 with both our boats, we went a couple of days before Christmas through the dismal swamp canal ..... there was mistletoe growing high up along the bank and some branches with it on them where hanging over the water just enough for me to snag a few with the standing rigging of my boat. The missus did not know what I was up to and was wondering about my somewhat erratic course and if I was drinking on watch till I gave her the fruits of my endeavour when we had the boats tied up for the day smile

Thanks for all your informative video's. I once went on a trip from The St. Louis area to "Giant City Park" in Southern Ill, and I was entranced by all the trees along the highway with Mistletoe in them, Not just a few clumps, but dozens per tree.

That was among your best , Anthony. Appreciate the history you shared with this plant.

And yes, your rye, er wry, or dry, humor is on a roll tonight.

Interesting, informative and comical, your presentation is great. I've been a subscriber for quite some time and I "sucked the nutrients out of that like button" on this one! LOL

Eh...wot?
