Those granite stone tools are WOW!

One has to ask themselves how the builder made those knocks? Its unreal. Those are real treasures. Very, very very old IMO; as that took a skill that I don't know of anyone else today of having. Knapping is one thing, making those notches is another.

I traded a 1.5 victor coil spring down in Ecuador's Amazon basin for an ax head pretty much identical to one of those pics. The guy found it digging out a water hole for his cows.

Very nice trove of artifacts.

truth be told lots of those stone artifacts were traded and moved all over the place Sa to NA etc
the glaciers moved rock all over the place and time was on some of the hunters had nothing else to do but just go and " wack-off a chip" waiting for game to pass
many times those big cores were used to knap-off a small blades not what we think as a projectile blade

wait till you see some of the artic small tools and the small sizes of the scrapers

many rock formations were based upon first area of description in geological terms, like Swan River chert, where there is a glacial ridge and a 1000 years of Lake Aggazi left many boulder that when broken= show that mezoleolithic rock that they made into may artifacts.

I'd never heard of treasurenet before now. That looks like a great resource. Thank you for mentioning it.

The one is a 3/4 groove tomahawk head , could be a felling ax head. The other looks like it’s unfinished lance head maybe . My brother years ago arrowhead hunted and found a arrowhead that was never finished.

Sat through a lecture many a moon ago and for the hammer heads
it took a certain rock formation to start with
many were river rolled and round ( so they have had many fractures and have not split open)
small braded grass cords were wrapped around the pecking line
set on fire and cooled
then small hammer to remove the heated area
after about 30 attempts, binding could be possible to latch the wooden handle

time on your hands... whistle while you work

Fascinating. They finally got to it in the end of that video. All the artifacts are melting out from over bearing snow. Snow/cold/warm periods came and went. Always have always will, it’s what ol Mother Earth does for a living and has since before us and will forever after us.

Being a part native I still found it a little sad to cremate the fellows remains. The way science is advancing I can’t imagine what more new techniques would have taught us.
Great video.

I started trapping at age 10 After about 40 years of experience I figured I knew something about it Than i n 2015 I believe it was I found Trapper man I did not join until 2017 What I had come to understand is I was not as educated on trapping a s I liked to think I was I realized was there are many ways to accomplish the same goal And some are just better than others Joining T MAN has been a huge eye opening in humility I don.t know as much about some phases of trapping after all And many times it is ideas that are so obvious and plain to see that you Wonder how you had not been doing it that way for ever And the same Is true of the wealth of knowledge on treasurenet.com. Often times we believe that we need to be an expert to figure certain things out But education is one of the keys to success Hard work good luck and just being observant play a part in being lucky I found treasurenet because I had dug an old bottle that I wanted to learn more about Through my research I was able to stumble onto that website Al most immediately I had the answer to my question concerning the bottle I had recently dug Knowledge is the key to achieving any goal And many of the people posting are just people doing things as a hobby At the same time many know a huge amount about things that are just hobbies but at the same time true passions on the other hand I am happy to see that some have maybe found a source of info about treasurenet
