Anyone using these? I like the concept but am a little uneasy about the 3/32 cable as I have had, what I assume to be coyotes, chew threw it on my cable restraints here in PA. Perhaps they wouldnt do that beng that its attached to their foot instead of around their neck? Thoughts?

Never heard of them so did a little search

Can't see the advantage over just running cable back through the other end loop

Also seem pricey at $35/12

Love the concept, easy to make. I’m gonna fool around with making some anchors when time permits…..

If you use 3/32 X 1/19 you won't have those chewing problems. Once I switched to 1x19 I never had another chew out when using CRs.

They work excellent. We hold wolf and wolverine on extended checks here in Alaska. You won't have any problems with a coyote chewing out. Research and videos posted above will help you understand all the options when using them. They are very simple, super fast and stronger than you will ever need. Try them once and you will use them a lot. They have many uses.

In Alaska, most guys put one one each foothold for lynx, wolverine cubbies. For wolf sets of all kinds, with toggles (logs), solid on trees, trail set's, pee posts, whatever. You can put them on your marten traps. No more using wire. It's on the trap already. Use it over and over every year. You can even put them on tiny mink and ermine traps. Bait, anchor and go to the next set.

Ted has the dimensions down perfect. They work excellent. They are too simple for the OCD trapper that wants to mess around with the fanciest mouse trap. Order one to play with and you will be ordering more soon.

My Super Wide will pull your broken down 4 stroke, up a hill backwards, with you on it!

I like the Hot Latches a lot. It's basically a toggle at the end of your cable which is almost genius. You're able to leave the "fixed" portion around your tree/drag and replace your foothold/bodygrip/snare trap without having to redo the whole setup. I like them a lot, even made a couple dozen of my own. I do trust them to hold coyote/cat They held a 36lb lynx last year and that cat put up a fight, catch circle looked like a bomb went off.

I use some quick-set tie off ends on most of my 10 foot cable extensions have caught beaver, otter, coyotes, bobcats, mt. lion with them. these look like short toggles sold by Wildlife Control Supply's. I have been thinking of setting up my marten traps with toggles. They look to be a way of setting up and removing a line easy.

Nice Video…Thank you for posting. Sounds like I’ll be ok with the 3/32 cable.
