Vinyl siding is even bring 5 cents a pound. Some of my customers had scrap guy deliver dumpster and haul away from job. Saves landfill charge and they get a few bucks.

They all screw you on "FOIL", only pay 2-3 cents a lb, even if the material is the same alloy as cans and much heavier material, because when they dump ACTUAL foil into the crucible, it will flash and be lost to the mill.
One place won't tell you what they're paying for cans. They want you to dump it into a bin and THEN will tell you what you get, take it or dig your cans out and go home.
Find an honest buyer and guard him with your life!.

Here they won't even buy foil at any price.

Must be nice to eat ice cream as fast as you want and not have to worry about brain freeze.

Weigh your cans before going. Keep cans in bag when you weigh them in their bin. After 74 years I don’t trust anyone anymore.

Here is the price increase for December.
This is Chicago pricing but gives you an idea where it should be.
Ferrous pricing has gone up, talking possibly more in January but I am selling all my scrap now as fast as I can get it in.
These (ferrous) prices are very good, why take a chance at waiting?
Steel is the meal, it is the easiest material to get, learn the different grades, separate, stockpile, know how much you have, call around and negotiate the best price.
Aluminum prices suck right now and cans are never worth saving in my opinion.

Cans are good for children to collect and learn the value of a dollar imho.

Copper prices are $3.00 a pound, how much do you expect to get?
Unless you have thousands of pounds.10c isn’t going to add up to much and if you sit on material for years you have to consider inflation.

Biggest problem with aluminum cans is that they take up so much room.

Aluminum cans are pain to sell. If you have a scrapyard that accepts cans count your blessings. My favorite scrapyard doesn't accept aluminum cans.
