How many of you out there love cooking meals over a campfire? Anyone make a permanent grill stand? Portable? Adjustable racks? Will be strictly cooking with cast iron. Looking for ideas! Pictures more than welcome.
Let’s see some set ups!

The short pieces can be slid anywhere along the long sides. Or flipped up to make room for a bigger fire. Set the skillet on the grate or on the coals. All the pieces come apart and slip into a bag. The cross bar setup can also be set up as a tripod to hang a kettle over a fire. Or used as a spit. S hooks can hang from it also.

I have wanted a Dutch oven table for years. An area to cook and one to burn wood to have a supply of coals. I want it made out of steel and the hold up is a wall around it to cut down on the wind blowing across the table. I have a fire pit that is covered in snow now, that is oval shaped I can grill, Dutch oven cook in/on. I started a pizza oven to sit on top it. I like a grilled pizza.

SJA did you make your own or buy it? It looks awesome and looks like it would pack up very flat and compact for camping.

The first pics of pit I made. The steel setup above your post was made for Kent Rollins I believe. :-)

I have some more traditional setups...but:

I can warn you what doesn't work:
  • Cast iron pan directly on top of Swedish candle
