Swapped out the mower deck for the snowblower tonight, something I've done a dozen times. Pulled the transmission release lever out to roll the tractor by hand, did the work, pushed the lever back in and the tractor won't move. Can still push it by hand. Checked the linkage, and the arm on the transmission housing is moving the whole way. Tried pushing the mower back and forth, still wouldn't engage. Idled the mower for a couple minutes, nothing.

Any ideas?

Whoever designed the fill on the transmission to be underneath the gas tank should be shot.

i know the lever your talking about , but not why it isn't working for you

and I think you might put the transmission fill under the tank guy with the guy who put the battery behind the bumper under the coolant and washer fluid bottles.
ahh you know you need to replace the battery in bout 4 years , a new truck wouldn't even be paid off and it would need a battery

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

It is more blessed to give than to receive

Can't remember off the top of my head, its a Broadmoor model. I'll look at the tag tonight.

I do know its a tuff torque transmission. The mower has a 52 inch, fabricated deck.
