Yeah. I have adequate 22LR what I need is primers. I have not seen primers for sale in Anchorage in several years How expensive is it to ship primers to AK? Also should as are you looking for small rifle? Large? Large rifle magnum? Shotgun? Large rifle have been pretty slim pickings down here, magnums even more so. I run across some but I get around. Shotgun is common as long as Cheddite's are suitable.

What difference does the price make if there is nothing to buy ? When you have it, and the store doesn't and the other guy needs it.....$$$

isn't that the Orwell vs Huxley argument
two visions of a dystopian future Huxley argues in his essay, "Amusing Ourselves to Death" that we would do just that amuse ourselves while we go down in flames to preoccupied with entertainment to care
they were both right
So you're saying the revolution WILL be televised? no I am saying so many will be pre occupied watching hallmark movies they won't know it began

Yeah. I have adequate 22LR what I need is primers. I have not seen primers for sale in Anchorage in several years I'm still waiting on large rifle primer prices to come down. I am however nearing the point where I'll just have to pay the outrageous price.

I don't know if we will ever see primers under 85 a brick again I see a lot more 90-115
I sure miss those 20 dollar a brick primers I was getting 7-8 years ago
who would have thought I would be longing for the 45 a brick primers I bought 3 years ago or even the 70 a brick from 2 years ago
I stopped loading 9mm and just started buying it
at 23 cents a round if I have to by 9.5 cent primers and 10 cent bullets it isn't worth my time and 45 dollar a pound powder I just wait for a free shipping and if it takes a bigger order split the order with with a friend.

I wonder if a club could get a shipment of primers , powder and projectiles as well as ammo.
how do the stores get ammo and components ? clubs around here order pallets of ammo and components then divide among the members who ordered.

Anyone come across any 140-150 grain 7MM STW ammo at a reasonable price let me know it’s getting hard to find it under $100 a box and the lighter bullets are very rare. The 160 grain loads are a bit rough on the whitetails.

I saw some Cheddite 209 primers available on Midway USA but of course they won't ship them. That is the problem I run into every time I was wondering that. I suppose they dont ship to AK because FED ex would send it up there on an airplane. I suppose I could pay some homeless guy to ship 4000 in a USPS flat rate box lol. Pete, the last primers I purchased at Scheels was Remington 7.5 small rifle bench rest primers and I paid 63.80 with tax, on November 6th i got remington 9.5 lrps for 79.99 with tax. If someone has a Scheels nearby they have the best prices and availability. Large rifle and large rifle magnum being the exception. Law Dog I'm going to 100 percent reloading for my rifles. I have a 270 wsm that ammo is almost impossible to find and prices are insane.

the 160's shouldn't be too hard on elk. I used to load 160's in my 7mm mag and they weren't quite up to the task on moose. I switched to the 175 and was much happier It’s fine for elk just wanted to use it on whitetails then the 160s are too much.

Yeah, it's expensive to get the components to reload. If I can find brass for the 270 wsm it's going for 3 to 4 bucks a piece it seems. I just bought a set of redding dies for it that were basically unused for 40 bucks. The rest isn't so bad. I'd never recommend these oddball cartridges to anyone. I won that particular rifle, should have sold it new in box. Now my daughter is attached to it so stuck with it forever.
