You have to give it to nature and its creatures. They sure can make the best of a good opportunity. They know it will save them a bunch of work just by looking things over.

Catch 22 for these ones. They keep mudding where they are living, but there really is no way to mud the house in enough to keep the cold out. As in, interior of the lodge will always be open to the cold.


They were close, but I doubt they'd survive there. The entrance is at water level, they'll get froze out for sure

Last spring you could have filled a wheelbarrow with otter scat in that very boathouse.

someone must have transport that otter from NW Ontario especially the LOW region
usually they like to climb under the boat cover and do it in private
