I am getting back into trapping and need to re-invest in the essentials. Just asking what some must haves are that you guys wouldn’t go without when running your trap lines.

Mainly raccoon will probably go after some muskrats and the occasional beaver.

For coon cheap 1.5 Duke coil springs. I loosen the pan tell it flops freely. For rats 110s beaver #5 bridges or mb 750 and some 7x7 snares and 330s. The #5 s are cheaper than 750s. Snares are the cheapest. Cable steaks and a driver or your preferred anchor system. Beaver ibprefer to send them down a drowning wire if in a foot hold. .

1. A stout walking stick with a hook at the top and a mark at the hight of your waders or hip boots.
2. Setters for 330s
3. A pack
4. Hatchet
5. Gauntlets
6. Headlamp
7. Fencing pliers
I tried to not list anything already mentioned.

A really good pair of boots/waders, and some super warm socks with matching gloves.
