concrete doesn't burn but like when you weld on the floor and the moisture in the congrete super heats it pops chunks floor

the concrete that protects the steel gets blown off , the steel fails under the heat because it was rated for a fire wit the combustibles in the building not thousands of gallons showing up all at once 100 stories up

We had similar here on the northside of town on GA400.

DOT was using GA400 overpasses for storage and a homeless dude living in one goes to cook his supper and sets everything on fire. The heat was enough to spall the concrete requiring replacement of a few spans.
