Went out with X bow to take out a deer. I have a Ten point wicked ridge. It has a crank on It to (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) It. Cocked the X bow got In the blind. About 2 hours later I was covered up with does. I already filed my buck tag. Had a nice doe come in at about 15 yards. I grunted she stopped broad side. I pulled the trigger nothing happened. All the deer ran off.
When you crank up that bow and when It's fully cocked you can hear a click. I find out It wasn't fully cocked. Better luck tomorrow. Hear I go half cocked. LOL

I never had that happen with my 94 Winchester. I guess x bows are not for me

You did better than my friend, he has a crank up xbow too, and somehow that crank got to whirling and nearly took his thumb off...Stitches and can't work for a minimum of 3 weeks, maybe.... Yeah if you dont keep a good grip on that crank it can draw blood. If you engage the ratchet part of it that doesnt happen.

Have a wicked ridge crossbow that is giving us problems. Last year the string broke while sighting in before the season and messed up the cams. Bow shop said to replace the string every 2 years on a crossbow not matter the amount of shots taken. So it was out of commission for the season last year. This year my sister wanted to use it so we got it sighted in, been shot maybe 6 times since. She shot a spike buck yesterday, and then re cocked it and sat in case a doe came by. When she gets to the side by side to leave she gets the target out to decock it and it wont fire. My brother takes it and makes sure it is fully locked back and it still refuses to fire. So back to the bow shop, to say we are not impressed with Wicked Ridge right now would be an understatement.
