A shout out to Allan Minear for putting up with me and making some excellent snares to my liking. So I decided this year that I might try to set a few wolf snares. A newer law in Montana allows us to do this. Plus its always good to P.O. the anti's. I searched, called and emailed snare makers/company's for almost two months before Allen and I could get together and finish the deal. Being new at snaring and the Montana regulation requiring certain things, I had no idea what the regs. were asking for. First thing was to learn that thru the help of the wilderness forum posts (thank you) and studying.
I tried contacting several companies/makers. Some were either not responsive or simply seemed like they did not want to make what I asked for. I was down to making my own snares. I did not want to or know how to make my own. Allen and the trapperman forum came thru for me. So to all who helped. Thank you!

the Sare Shop is a great bunch of people I told them I wanted wolf snares legal in Idaho they were in my mail box a week later.

In response to the other person I do well as a one man show I don't have a shop full of people working for me which allows me the ability to keep the quality of my finished product up to my high standards and more so for my customers .

If I don't like something about a snare I made it doesn't get sold to a customer .

Talking to the maker person to person is the way to go. Did not have to speak with any assistant or a person in China. The quality of the snares are high and the price is fair. Allen told me to call him and we talked. He gave me some snare cleaning tips and more information. Could not ask for a better seller.

Wally , I totally understand even if I've never been to Texas it's a great place but I like our mountains way to much to get to far away from them .

You might wait a couple weeks it finally turned to winter up here. It was many negatives below zero this last week and now we are getting a foot of snow then it is supposed to rain next week. It just can't seem to make up its mind.

I sent 2 dozen snares to be offered at the Spring Fling again this year , one day I hope to bring them up there in person .

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures and hearing how it turns out again this year .

When I called Cory from Lightsout, he was surprised when his phone rang, he was out in the boonies of Alberta trapping ADC wolves…hahaha
