Nice work! Your pike lures are so nice, have you ever thought of carving your own decoys?

I have four buffleheads that I made and have killed tons of ducks over. Made them when I was 18.

I actually have a dozen hollow, clear cedar goldeneye roughed out and waiting to be finished. They will be black epoxy coated and fully flocked (fuzzy). Got the eyes already and everything.

Even poured my own anchor weights already.

We got a whistler today but they are a bit of a trophy duck here. Been a while since I shot a limit of them.

Can't wait to watch a flock of them commit to decoys I made...

We avoid any true merganzer. All the rest we eat just fine.

Hooded mergansers are ok, but we don't target them. Only on slow days lol

I think that was a juvenile hen wood duck.

And I have seen well over 1000 ring necks over the past few weeks. Got one today, but that may be the last of them.

Was windy as heck this morning so we didn't go far
