The Trap Collectors Guide by Andreski and Parr is a good start.

Providing wild fur to the industry at below the cost of production for over 50 years.

Mostly carbon neutral since 1948.

The Trap Collector's forum on here is far better than many books. Tom Parrs book is an excellent reference.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Details? Are you interested in a value of collectible traps you own or are you interested in collecting traps?

The Andreski & Parr book is excellent. More than just a price guide.

Another good book is The Steel Trap in North America by Richard Gerstell. It is NOT a price guide but rather talks about the history of traps from the early 1800s until 1985. All the different companies, trap features when they came about , etc. chock full of great info.

Those 2 books are all you need.

I have a copy of The Steel Trap in North America, which I'm planning to put up in the Defense Fund auction, if it's worth anything.

Search around for an old copy of steel traps of NA. I found one last year for IIRC $25 shipped. New it’s a bit pricey here.

If you autograph it, that should help keep the value down. smile

First I would join the North American Trap Collectors Association. Google them or pm me for the information. Books like Nancy suggested I would recommend: The Steel Trap in North America by Richard Gerstell & The Trap Collectors Guide by Andreski & Parr.
