Larry, that might be true but…......an organization has options. First they can kick you out, secondly the can send you a cease and desist order with the threat of litigation if you don't step in line. Who's going to fight that unless they're wealthy

After 40 years it would be interesting to hear just what took place.Fur prices were high,the NTA was growing,Don Hoyt was president and won re election.Then in the following months to come it was one thing after another on charges leveled against him and then,he was gone.Never an explanation on what happened or why,they just got rid of him.Apparently the membership didn't need to know what happened to him or why

Seems like if anyone with any membership can request to have their names and info removed from the system and cancle them if they were so inclined . I don't believe anyone is locked in for life.

It's truly a sad state of affairs. Honestly are they paid positions? Do they just like to feel like they have some kind of power and it's a volunteer positions they want to keep so they feel important? I Honestly have no idea how they work or the motivation only that it's a sad day when you attempt to silence people.

Anglia, could you post the rest of the letter? I would like to see what the rest of the letter states. I am curious what they stated as a reason for your expulsion. Thanks.

The email I sent;

To whom it may concern;

It has come to my attention that you have expelled a member for there speaking out about the truth as they saw on another platform.

I saw the letter.

This is how far we have fallen as a group of like-minded individuals?

Are we no better than the social media platforms that silence those who would speak the truth?

Are we not above the Government agencies we see lie and silence the people every day?

Are we not better than the animal rights activists who twist and distort our know truths to fit their own agenda?



I am ashamed I was once a member of such an organization, and I am glad I did not renew my membership when I heard rumblings of this atrocity.

Please remove my name from your mailing list as I will not support the NTA as it stands.

Thank you A. I am glade you were and offered a chance to speak. I am also glade you took them up on their offers to voice your concerns.

I see the future of the industry changing rapidly. I am excited to see the direction it is heading and hope to live long enough to see some goals come full circle. I hate to see so much division in our industry, however, it is how change comes about. The industry will prevail.

I am glade to see that another national organization will be getting the support of many who separate from the NTA. The FTA is a fine organization who teaches modern technology and techniques through sound tested and true methods. The NTA and FTA both have one common goal even if stand alone organizations, they work together for the greater good of all in the industry.
