Picked this up yesterday- not a high-quality pocketknife but I thought the scale was cool at 2-1/4" overall length. The blade says Japan Stainless and I believe letters PO or PC.
You could open a little bottle of wine if needed.

My dad would drool over that. He loves unique knives/multitools.

Eagleye-With all the gun shows and antique picking I have done I have never seen a small version of those. I have owned and sold several of the larger ones.

Do a little research on that before you do anything with it.

Not sure which one of the various makers would be the best, but the older vintage Boy Scout knives are actually pretty handy to carry around. The older knives would take an edge and get remarkably sharp.

I am a sucker for USGI electricians knives Camillus TL-29 well at least when they are under 5 dollars

got a few at 1-2 dollars and recently got a Klein remake of it for 2 bucks

seems I look at a knife table these days and soo soo little of interest

just so much junk.

The state has a place in Austin that sells seized assets including everything someone tried to board a plane with. I picked one of those up but a few weeks later I had a boy helping me fix fence that didn't have a pocket knife so I ended up giving it to him.
He looked at it like it was the coolest gift he had ever gotten.

I had one very much like it, if not identical, many years ago. About forty-five years ago. I wish I still had it.

Nice. I recently found my old Boy Scout knife and started carrying it all the time. That makes the knife about 50 years old.

my youngest 18 took a job at a local sandwich shop about a month ago
they are not overly confident talking with management , but got around to complaining about how dull the knives were this last week.

the manager said well we like to leave them a little dull when we get new people so they don't hurt themselves (I think is an excuse because they has just realized how dull they were)

to which my kid thought but didn't say to them , that is 180* backwards logic but sure.

so they got talking knives and my kid is like well I might be spoiled by all my dads knives being razor sharp and we had to learn knife skills as kids , and got our first knife at 8.
the manager said , "you were using a knife at 8?"
no I was using a knife before 8 I got my own at 8.

Well , I am the weird homeschooling parent again who taught their kids to use knives and gave them one at 8 , I got my first knife at 8 also so it doesn't seem strange at all to me.

I and they still have our first knives mine was a Callimus folder the old Cub scout knife.
my kids all got buck folders and were encouraged to carry them just not too school once they did go to public school.

when we went to the holocaust museum they had a metal detector , I had to collect up knives from the entire family , and them my wife forgot the one in her purse so I had to make a second trip to the truck to lock that up.
you would think a bunch of Jews working in the museum of dead Jews would understand why people might carry , but no the lesson that you would think they should be teaching is lost on them.

how to sharpen a knife and use one should be on that list of things people should know but it is amazing how many don't even adults and even ones working in food service jobs.
when my son worked at a supper club in high school he griped about the knives and brought a stone in and sharpened them.

I swear if food packaging didn't have tear and pour packaging some people might starve to death for inability to open the packaging. much less actually cut any food.

a lot of those were carbon steel Camillus out of New York that is what a few of mine are like my original cub scout knife

unfortunately I don't see anything by them still made in carbon steel everything is some type of SS

well they have some knives in D2 which is sort of an in-between
