For those of you that have it, what’s your opinion on it?

I have the M12 Camo heated jacket and a heated hoodie. For bow season, I'm not out the full day typically- plenty of battery and no bulk during colder weather. For gun I sit dawn to dusk and batteries become an issue- I run the M18 Top-off for my jacket and phone charger now and that works well.

I have a hoodie but I would rather have a vest.If you already have batteries the Milwaukee vest is a great option but if you don’t you should look into gerbings from the warming store.Gerbings batteries are tiny and hold up better. My 2 cents.

I just got the hoodie so I can't give an honest comparison- shooting a vertical bow in the jacket is perfect in those cold mornings- I never wear gloves either so it's nice to my release toasty in my pocket.

I have had the hoodie for 3 or 4 years. I like it well. I can get 5 or 6 hours of heat when I have it on the low setting. When I bowhunt and I start to feel the cold creep in I turn it on on low and it keeps me warm. It works well for me.

I have had the vest for 5 years. I purchased the m-18 power source which enables me to use my m-18 batteries to run the vest. I already had 10 4 ah and 5 1.5 ah m-18 batteries when I purchased the vest. The 1.5 ah batteries do ok in the vest but you need 3 for a multiple hours sit. The 4 ah would be better but they are pretty bulky in the battery pocket. I would love to rig a 3' cord to the m-18 power source from the vest...but not sure I could pull that off.

It would be ideal to keep the battery in a pant cargo pocket. The m-18 power source has the plug in the vest uses for the m-10 battery...and a usb plug in which I use year round without the vest for charging stuff via usb. I actually just purchased a second one to use to charge things while I wear the vest when camping.

I think a heated garment is best as a mid layer and not an outer layer. All in all I do not regret purchasing the vest and it has performed for years with no issues at all. This year I am going to ask around for someone who can lengthen the cord for me....

You can buy the extension cord on the internet. Also like you said keep the heated gear close to your skin and not over the top of 2-3 or 4 sweatshirts or hoodies.

I see the one Milwaukee made is discontinued but this type of plug is what you’re looking for.

Good advice- I only wear a base layer under it
