I tried eating one in Idaho in 92 or 93 and I thought it was horrible, even after drinking beer all afternoon. The more you chewed it the bigger it got.

I have nothing clever to put here.

In reptiles, I've eaten rattlesnake, Burmese python, snapping turtle, alligator and iguana. All tasted good. The python was probably over cooked and was very chewy. I had to cut tiny pieces of python with a sharp knife, chew them for flavor and then swallow them whole.

Yeah I am guessing it was over cooked. Rattlesnake is like squid, if you over cook it you won't like it near as well.

Rattlesnake over pasta with white sauce and veggies is fine eating.

Buzz… I only had it once while on the west side of the State but was too deep into the lonestar to give a review lol

… East Texas don’t have diamonds.. only Timbers and few at that

… now if you want to ask me about accidentally killed young gator I’m your man lol

… East Tx is more like central/north Louisiana than anything

.. just got in… I’ll take a pic off the front porch and put it in here shortly… it ain’t what most picture when they think Texas

Looks much like west Mississippi along the river

Skinned my first accidental gator when I was 13

Can't remember what state or country I was in at the time

Red birds were the bait of choice, a foot off the water

That picture looks like looking out my back door.

That picture looks like it would be a great place to step on a copperhead.

Here is rattlesnake country from the back of a fine rattlesnake spotter. Ironically snakes just got a snort and a slight detour but one set of jack rabbit ears and it was break in two time LOL

Ate a rattlesnake appetizer at a restaurant near El Paso around 1980. Pretty good but I like everything.
