I've shot a button buck and a doe with my BlackOut Faze. Going tonight. I've been on doe patrol and plan to yet tonight but gonna be switching to chasing bucks here soon at my other stand.

Dandy buck but I encounter more mature bucks if I wait , years ago I had to be out there and the old man said one day you’ll hunt smarter and kill all you want but will kill bigger deer , ha ha dad was right again lol That is very true. I've never gotten a chance on anything but a decent 2.5yo until end of October before. But i am working hard on my properties to improve on that. I do not hunt hard until the time comes but i will take advantage of the cold front conditions we just had. I also like to get a doe early and was fortunate to seal deal at first light on opening day without intruding much. Also a new one for me. Now i fish.

All deer are trophy’s, I may be a little lazy in my older age lol, last weekend it was chilly but the weekend plus Monday was our youth season, I let the kids hunt , the rest of the week it was upper 70 to low 80 ‘s fish time

Well i try to jab at them as much as i dare in low impact stands as soon as the conditions allow. Season goes by and i don't want to feel like im missing it, of course being careful to keep intrusion low. Was fortunate last Saturday evening to take advantage of the early October cold front. This guy was the biggest in the area from my scouting. Feel very fortunate. He wasnt my biggest rack but had 25lbs on the heaviest ive gotten. That’s a farmed buck. He has a tag in his ear. JK. Nice buck.
Looks like he needs another year;-)

I have only arrowed one WT in my >50 years of hunting and only killed 2 with a gun. I'm hoping to go for a WT this year. I have arrowed dozens of mules.

Got a small eight last week and a doe this evening. Hoping a big one will move in when the rut starts in a couple weeks. Nothing real big on camera yet this year.
