claycreech OP trapper C Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 1,766 Sumner, Mo.	Took my squirrel hunting buddy on his first deer hunt this morning. He was cool as a cucumber and made a nice shot on this doe. All that squirrel hunting has this 6 year old pretty confident with a gun.

No wind drift lol Hadn’t been in the stand 25 minutes. 3 big does come slipping through the timber. Was able to get the 2nd in line to stop in an opening and little man double lunged her. Mule kicked and ran 60 yards before piling up. Saw 9 deer walking to the stand just before shooting light. Going back this evening and see if he can wack another. 3 day rifle doe season this weekend.

When they could constantly kill Squirrel with their .22 I figured they were shooting well enough to kill deer. Add to the story for us gun guys like ammo weight and brand and bullet.

I never had any doubt that squirrel killer was gonna put the smack down on an acorn goat! Especially with his hunting guide.. Congrats! Now.....get him on one of those midwest monster bucks!!!!
