After going through 4 hours in a dealership to be told every BS line they have dreamt up in the last 75 years just a few weeks ago I will NOT be buying from a dealership again, unless they can meet these requirements. What is your bottom dollar right now, no I am not telling you if I have a trade in or what my payment range might be. Simple question all I need in return is a simple answer. If you can answer that in 10 minutes the next stop will be the finance office if so needed. Where your "finest" finance person will have the paperwork already typed up with what I have agreed to. If they open their mouth to "save me money" I am leaving and not coming back. Yeah, right.

The last time I bought a used truck from a dealership was in about 1990.
I knew that this particular dealer made a lot of their profit from financing their sales (over 20-24% interest). I played poor and stupid. After I worked him over pretty hard on the price, I finally told him I'd take it. He then asked, "how would you like to finance this". I said, "cash", as I was pulling $6000 out of my pocket. The look on his face was priceless.

They won't take cash here anymore, maybe a deposit but not full cost. You can still pay "cash" without actual dollar bills. Also like said, dealers can make a lot of money financing, so you can just finance and when the first statement comes just write the check and pay it off.
