Alligator Alley , otherwise known as Tamiami Trail, takes one through the glades too, with spots to turn off at the Seminole and Miccosukee Tribal lands. When I was there, long ago, they had produce stands, gift shops of handmade items, and some small restaurants that serve unique foods from the glades.

There is nothing on earth like a fresh mango from FLA.

My wife and I lived justoutside of Ocala for three years while I went through my physical Therapy. If you appreciate Horses Ocala is a MUST see.

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

Largemouth begin spawning about then in Lake Ochochobe. Fun to fish near grass and pads with large shinners.

Best thing in Ocala is Don Garlits's Drag Racing Museum.
Was there 40+ years ago, heading back soon
