Last spring I ground a gallon of tainted Lynx. I followed the directions and mixed it with Dobbins bait solution. I had it divided into two containers. I opened one to check on it tonight and I found that there was mold on the surface. I scraped the mold off, but I’m sure it still has mold spores in there. What do I need to do to prevent mold growth?

Methyl paraben will take care of the mold. I came out with a bait solution with methyl paraben and sodium benzoate in an attached packet, but it didn't sell well.

Yep, mold is no fun! Ive been working with a base ingredient for a lure and several attemps have all resulted in mold. If I us MP, it wont age like I want. I want a slow aging process but it wont work. So Ive decided to try it in full sunlight next time to hurry the process and hopefully beat the mold. Living in a dry climate one would assume I wont have molding issues but the moisture in the bases will horse you up at times. Maybe Im off my rocker?
