I really enjoy all of Boco’s threads on Trapping, Fur Handling, etc. etc. But his views on America’s politics, (troubles), are very irritating and he does seem to have more leniency than others on this forum. You all need to be irritated once in a while to dampen your arrogance. You cant get away with irritating without getting irritated back.

Without USA muscle, products and dollars:
Western Europe would be saying "Hail Hitler"
The Indo-Pacific region would be living under a spotted flag
Australia would conduct official business in Japanese
Eastern Europe would still be under the iron curtain
Canada would be speaking Russian
World War 2 has never really ended (technically WW1) except on paper. The reality is it is still on-going. Some of the participants have changed sides, a lot of the weapons have changed, but the basic struggles remain.
Love or hate us, the American soldier, American industrial might and American dollar have made the world a better place and defended many weaker peoples in many places. We are grateful for those who have helped in those causes.
And the Star Spangled Banner still makes me misty eyed. If it weren't for the French we'd still be under Crown rule. Sad to say I know.
