I've been thinking about doing some trap modification and making some dogless 1.5s. Does anyone have some of these and put a picture or two in here. Or if any of you fabricators have made something similar and don't mind sharing. Thanks in advance!

You would be better off copying the bridger/ts 85, no-bs style dogless system.

At least the fulcrum point angle as it relates to the notch pad projection.

I have several 1.5 SJ Mont.'s from the 80's, and later. They never really took off in use for the public as you could not adjust the trigger tension soft enough to cover all the animals a Dog On 1.5 could. A 13lb fox could walk on the pan and sometimes not exert enough pan weight to spring it. Forget it for coon and mink but a coyote paw did work somewhat. So if you fiddled and fiddled with grinding and adjusting you had a few too many sprung traps due to expansion and contraction of the soil it was set in. Coil spring strength had a lot to do with it. The #2 and #3 Mont. were fine with that trigger but the 1.5, at that time, was a bust for commercial use on lighter weight species. My Experience. ................the mike
