Spent a few days in the Black Hills of South Dakota chasing bulls with the camera since I can’t ever seem to get lucky enough to draw a tag.
Rut activity was ramping up and the bulls were bugling good.

Terrific pictures. Looks like you know where to find them if you ever get lucky enough to draw a tag.

Beautiful!
My boys got one in Wyoming Saturday. Packed out the head and part of the meat, went back Sunday morning and the grizzlies had visited. They cleaned up.

They shut down for us my guy a perfect 30 yard shot then used the wrong pin used the 20 yard shot under it. At the peek in the AM and PM they were bugling like crazy.

No tag here either for years. I have 35 years of preference points the 2 guys I hunted with were up to 40 point range and could not pull a tag. Once I’m to old to get out there I will draw tags then.

Great pics

Nice!!

I been getting a lot of pictures from friends of rutting bulls. There has been a lot of great bulls arrowed that I know of so far. Exciting times for sure.

Hunters I talked to were having opportunities, just having a hard time getting in on the herd bulls. Satellites were responding to calls really well.

Beautiful photos of really great animals. Thanks for posting. My biggest would fit inbetween the antlers of your smallest. But it was a 6 x 6, with little crab claws on the end....ha ha on me......jk

I was shocked at the number of bulls we heard in the peek times this year and we had a lot of elk on the cell cams also. I’m accustomed to hunting private land so the side by side vehicles were annoying when 6 joyride through your set ups.

That can be avoided just go where the can’t go them folks ain’t doing much walking. LOL The Doc had several cell cams out and several tree stands that never were messed with and they were not very well hidden even. Some other hunter scouted where he had setups and still no theft or vandalism.

I was about to give up on drawing an elk tag until seeing what’s out there now I’ll keep applying but I have 100s of points in and out of the State Park.

There's no better music to the ears than a bull bugling. Nice photos!

Remember as a kid we played army and you gave up the fort so the other side got it? Of course you don't. Little kids aren't that stupid.
